Cleve Playgroup and Lil Gym

Cleve District Children’s Centre

Located on East Terrace, this Department for Education children’s centre and preschool supports early learning in Cleve. Preschool and children’s-centre enrolment is catchment-based, although children living outside the catchment may be considered when places are available. Families can phone (08) 8628 2211 to discuss enrolment.

SHEOAK Clinical Psychology

Children, adolescents, parents, couples and families can access clinical psychology services, including play therapy, parenting support and family therapy. Face-to-face appointments are available in Cleve, alongside telehealth. Self-referral is accepted, but a Mental Health Care Plan or specialist referral is required to claim Medicare rebates.

Strive Disability Support Services

This NDIS-focused provider serves Cleve and other Eyre Peninsula communities. Available supports include coordination, positive behaviour support, developmental programs and social work. The team advises that face-to-face meetings and home visits can be arranged; ask about availability and how the requested service fits a participant’s plan.

Tobruk Centre

Carers of children from birth to five years who live in South Australia can call 1300 364 100 for telephone support at any time. South Australian staff answer from 7.15 am to 9.15 pm, with national staff providing the after-hours response.

Carer Gateway

Unpaid carers can seek free counselling, coaching, peer support, tailored support packages and respite pathways through this Australia-wide service. Counselling is available to carers aged 18 and over. Call 1800 422 737 from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, to check eligibility and discuss local or remote options.
